DANNY REINKE exclusively works with high-quality, sustainable materials, where every garment is lovingly handmade in Berlin. This season, the label was inspired by ”the birds and the bees and hot summer nights”, transporting the audience at Kraftwerk Berlin to a sun-splashed flower meadow for the new SS 22 collection.
Setting out to “explore the creative field of eroticism”, Reinke’s vivacious Botanical Affair conveyed a youthfully feminine and flirtatious silhouette, sending intricate tulle creations and luxe “prêt-à-couture” essentials down the runway. The palette consisted of pops of yellow, beige and green, along with a sunny floral print.
We saw exquisitely tailored shirts, oversized collars, corset tops and elegant trousers together with playful flower co-ords and the opulent, show-stopping gowns the designer has become synonymous with.
Memorable moments included a floor-length plunging back dress in shimmering green, and a fluffy white bridal dream, complete with an ornate bouquet of wildflowers. And let’s not forget the thigh-skimming, two-piece tulle creation in powder yellow.
