Everything you need to know
This season MBFW presents itself again in a physical as well as digital form. Starting on March 14th until March 16th shows, panel talks, Der Berliner Salon and more will take place at Kraftwerk Berlin.
Jens Kunath, Head of Sales Passenger Cars and Member of Executive Board of Mercedes-Benz Cars Sales Deutschland already gave a glimpse of what this seasons MBFW Berlin will have in store: „We are delighted to present the MBFW Berlin yet again as a modern and high-class fashion format. Within this setting, we support the shaping of current and culturally relevant topics to enable new perspectives. Guests can expect an exclusive programme with several impulses presented physically and digitally. This way, the focus is strongly placed on innovation, sustainability, and the advancement of extraordinary creatives.“
– So, what can we expect this season?
The most important and hence most talked about topic in the fashion world and further right now with the fashion industry as a major factor that contributes to climate change. Approaches such as new ways to produce fashion and different methods to further creativity are therefore, increasingly coming to the fore to take one step further into the new future of fashion.
Young Design Talents
The future is now! It has never been more important to listen to new voices than it is today. The younger generation is willing to take action and speak up about what needs to be changed. As encouraging emerging talents has always been a matter close to MBFW’s heart, this season Young Design Talents will again showcase their collection and their vision of the future of fashion.
During the times of the Covid-19 Pandemic we came to realize that the human interaction and communication is the most important component of our daily lives. Countless zoom calls proved that sharing ideas, concepts and thoughts with old and new people in our lives can help overcome any hurdles. This season the MBFW Berlin will host several talks with designers, fashion experts and many more to discuss in person again what the future of the fashion industry might look like.
Der Berliner Salon has been the most important authority for German brands and upcoming designers. On March 14 creatives and manufactories from the disciplines of fashion, jewelry and accessories will showcase their current designs to press and opinion leaders from within the fashion and creative industry in Kraftwerk. All designs and looks will get set in scene by Christiane Arp, who initiated the format in 2015 together with Marcus Kurz.
Up Close Digitally as well as Personal in Berlin
As Germanys biggest city and the melting pot of creativity Berlin is more than ever the perfect location to host the newest generation of fashion and give them the opportunity to show the world who they are.
„Berlin remains such a relevant scene for fashion, music, film and art. Like no other city in Germany, Berlin unites diverse creative influences and inspirations. The MBFW will focus this season especially on the segment of New and Green Luxury” says Marcus Kurz, Managing Director at NOWADAYS, who organizes the MBFW Berlin.
